In recent years, Kiddimoto has grown from a small one-man operation to one of the most sought-after international suppliers of child-friendly training bikes. The first wooden Kiddimoto prototype was created in 2003 in the home of company founder Simon Booth in Axbridge, Somerset. Kiddimoto was born, and one year later already, the production of the training bikes started – the first models were the Kiddimoto Superbike and the Scrambler. The Kiddimoto balance bikes were well received, having already been named 'Toy of the Year' in 2006 by the world-renowned toy store Hamleys. From then on, success took its course: demand from home and abroad increased, Kiddimoto moved into new offices and expanded its warehouse. Kiddimoto received a very special honour in 2015 when the child-friendly company was awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for International Trade.
